My Mother’s Apron Hangs Here
Posted on April 18, 2014
This work is made from the cardboard boxes we discard in our daily food rituals and held together with staples. It is about the acknowledgement of your mother’s hard work done out of love for her family. The respect that you have when you become a mother. The questions you will ask yourself about what you will do differently and what you will do the same. The colours are greying as each generation sits in a different space with different requirements but the juggle stays the same. The mother and nourishment are intertwined and staples are the food basics of every mother’s pantry.
